Congratulations to the HP Team for their success at the first competition of the season!
Provincial Trials took place this past weekend in Etobicoke, and the HP girls represented KW Synchro like pros – finishing 8th out of 14 teams in their first season competing at the national level! – Your coaches are very proud of you, as is the entire Club!
At the figures competition, all of the girls placed within the top two-thirds of competitors:
Congratulations to Jessica Tvrdon (88th), Courtney Beisel (81st), Danelle Kovar (80th), Savannah Heintzman (68th), Brooke Heitshu (55th), Joelle Zavitz (46th), Sabrina Barnes (31st), and Jordan Shantz (11th) – you all did amazing, and we look forward to seeing just how far all your hard work will take you this season!
Some of the girls also swam extra routines – including Brooke Heitshu & Joelle Zavitz who were able to pre-swim their duet, and Joelle who also pre-swam her solo; this was a great chance for the girls to stretch their legs and gain experience for Regionals this April.
Danelle Kovar & Savannah Heintzman competed in the duet category, placing 21st, as did Jordan Shantz & Brooke Heitshu, placing 8th – all four swimmers were competing for the first time on the national stage and did an incredible job! Jordan Shantz also competed in the solo category, placing an amazing 10th in a deep pool of experienced competitors.
Congratulations to all swimmers and congratulations also to the HP Team Coaches, Samantha Kowalski & Delaney Klein, who have guided this team with their expertise and commitment all season long. Keep up the good work HP Team!
