Following phase two of the team selection process on April 19 Jordan and Savannah were selected to the 12 & Under Ontario Team. Both Jordan, who was selected to the 12 & Under A team, and Savannah, who was selected to the 12 & Under B team, will train with the top athletes in the province in preparation for meets in California and New York. They will represent Ontario competing against some of the best clubs in the states. These talented young women currently train in KW Synchro’s Tier 6 program. Congratulations Jordan and Savannah!

JULY 28 — KW Synchro competitive team members Jordan and Savannah left this week for Walnut Creek, California and Keuka, New York as part of the 12 and under Team Ontario squads.

Swimming her solo at the Tier 6 level through the 2008-2009 season, Jordan qualified for the Team Ontario 12 and under A Team and will be accompanied to California by York Synchro’s Head Coach Mary Jane Ling. While in California, the 12 Team Ontario athletes will work with U.S. national team coaches and athletes on Figure and Element Technique, Choreography, Transitions, Lifts, Flexibility, Swimming Technique, and Mental Preparation.

After joining the KW Synchro team in February, Savannah worked exceptionally hard to earn her berth on Team Ontario’s 12 and under B Team. Savannah and her teammates will be assisted through their All-Star Camp experience in New York by coaches Larissa Ryssina of York Synchro and Alanna Harman of Mississauga Synchro.

While Jordan and Savannah are just beginning their Team Ontario adventure, Robin Le has almost completed four days of training with the 10 and under squad at the Olympium Pool in Etobicoke. Robin Le earned her spot on the 10 and under Training Squad with a strong performance at the Trillium Championships in June and joined 24 other young swimmers at Olympium this week to work with coaches Elly Van Fleet (Burlington Synchro), Brianna Davidson (Variety Village Synchro), Vanessa Hider (Brant Synchro) and Mary Jane Ling (York Synchro).
