KW’s High Performance Team kicks off its competitive season this weekend at Provincial Trials in Hamilton.  Good luck to all the swimmers and coaches as they show off their duets, solos and party rock routine!

KW is proud to announce that the current Assistant Coach of Team Canada Synchro, Meng Chen, will be spending the weekend with our coaches and athletes on the pool deck!

Meng is currently living in Montreal where she works full-time preparing Canada’s top synchronized swimmers for the London Olympics.  Meng has worked as a synchro coach and athlete for many years, including five years as a National Team Coach in Malaysia.  Originally from Beijing, Meng also spent several years as a member of China’s Junior and Senior National Teams.

KW Synchro traveled to Etobicoke on December 10-11th to participate in the Lisa A. Figures Meet – all of the coaches and swimmers worked very hard to prepare for this meet and it showed in our results!

A BIG Congratulations to ALL the swimmers on your first meet of the season!

Former KW Synchro Coach & Swimmer, Rachel Kowalski, traveled with Team Canada to Beijiing last week to compete in the 2011 FINA World Trophy event.

Team Canada competed in several events, including an acrobatic/highlight routine, free routine, duet, and combo routine.  The girls looked spectacular, placing THIRD out of the entire competition! (including a bronze in the free routine and a silver in combo).

With the competitive season getting underway at Lisa Alexander, we have a great new resource for all of our dedicated parents!

Whether you are new to synchro or a seasoned synchro parent, our online e-Learning course for parents will hold something for you. A very special thanks to Connie Zavitz for her hard work in developing this course. The course is available in our top level menu or by following the shortcut here.

KW Synchro held its annual Winter Watershow on Sunday December 4th, and all of our athletes did an AMAZING job, showing off all they have learned in the first half of the season!

The Kitchener Sports Association held its annual Volunteer of the Year Award Dinner this past week, and we are proud to announce that Mark Tvrdon is the KW Synchro Volunteer of the Year!

This award is given to acknowledge the dedication, time and energy minor sports volunteers put into making their clubs successful.

Thank-you Mark for ALL your hard work  -  volunteers like you keep our sport thriving!
